Their latest one was released in MayLandskap Theme - Landskap - II III. The first two albums were published in and both came out in digital format first and later on vinyl. Thanks to a review copy I was able to learn more about Landskap. Nowadays the band has Christopher West on bass guitar. The music on their second album isn't the usual music I listen to.
The main reason is that the songs they wrote for this release not only contain progressive rock but also influences taken from doom metal, psychedelic rock, blues, gothic rock, space rock and more straightforward rock Landskap Theme - Landskap - II . They don't just take their inspiration from today's bands, but they also look back on the music of the sixties and seventies. And also Azymuth - Morning / Linha Do Horizonte such as King Crimson and Hawkwind could have been an influence in the compositions they wrote for their second album.
The songs aren't too complex and probably don't have too much to offer for those who are more into the bands we normally review on our website. Anyway, it was nice to have a listen to an almost completely different style of music then I am used to.
Tomorrow's Ghost and the bonus track Lazy Sundae have enough to offer to keep you entertained. Those mellow pieces of music move very much towards progressive rock and the other tracks are not just songs with heavy guitars and the sound of an organ. In their genre the band does very well. Therefore a positive verdict is well deserved in the end. Recommended to those who enjoy the aforementioned Looks That Kill - Mötley Crüe - Hate Into Fire All Rights Reserved Background Magazine
